Not a complete beginner to sailing but not an expert yet either? This American Sailing Association Accredited intermediary course to sailing is the perfect way for you to hone your skills! This course covers one module and requires the completion of the Basic Keelboat Sailing Standard (ASA 101). This course  allows you to skipper in the US and leads to the ASA's International Proficiency Certificate which lets you skipper in most popular European countries! You are strongly encouraged to form a crew of at least 4. 


CERTIFICATE LIMITATIONS:

  • Able to skipper a sloop-rigged auxiliary powered keelboat of approximately 25-35 feet in length by day, in moderate winds and sea conditions

  • This certificate will allow you to skipper in the US.

More information on the course:

  • Pre-course study and on-the-water training sessions.

  • Classes will be conducted on our boats 

  • Written exam at the end of the course

  • Successful candidates will receive an American Sailing Association certificate upon completion.

  • Students will then be eligible for the next course level of Bareboat Cruising Standard (ASA 104).

  • The course brings you one step closer towards the ASA's International Proficiency Certificate (IPC) which requires ASA101, ASA103 and ASA104.

    • The IPC allows you to skipper in the US and select *European countries.

  • Course run time:

    9am to 6pm daily for 4 days


    *Students can decide whether to stay overnight but do note that students are required to stay overnight for at least one night*
